Right-handed spoon carving knife made from high carbon steel and pear wood handle
The blade is forged, bent, ground, sanded, heat-treated normalized, DET annealed quenched, and tempered twice)
The bevel on the blade is convex and hollowed for easier sharpening.
In the end, the knife is hand-sharpened. The end result is a very crisp and polished surface.
The back of the blade is thick and rounded meant for easier pushing and not damaging the fingertips.
The knife is meant for carving fresh wood spoons, finishing cuts on kuksas, bowls, and so on.
The knife comes shaving sharp. The sheath and the handle are finished with natural oil and wax mix.
It comes with a custom wooden sheath. To open, remove the pin in the middle and rotate the lid to the left.
I strongly recommended sharpening only on the inside, outside only stropping.
For any personalization like name initials etc. on sheath or handle, please contact me for the details.
